The Challenge

The client had a massive Excel export with 60,000 rows of messy, inconsistent data that needed to be cleaned, restructured, and formatted before it could be used. Manual cleanup would have taken days.

What I Built

  • Analyzed the data structure and identified all inconsistencies and formatting issues
  • Wrote a Python script using pandas to automate the full cleaning and restructuring process
  • Built in validation to flag any rows that needed human review
  • Delivered a clean, ready-to-use file alongside documentation of what the script does and how to rerun it
